Boating & the Fair

We've had a few adventures in the last couple of weeks.  However, I've forgotten our camera!  We took a few pictures with phone's, and when I get them loaded I'll post them.

First, Saturday the 10th we went boating with my family.  I'd been trying to find a day that we could all go since the end of July, but it seemed that someone always had a conflict!  We finally went, and it was pretty cool.  When we pulled into Deer Creek Reservoir, the temperature gauge in our car said 62.  We ended up just taking a couple of rides on the boat rather than participating in any water sports.  My dad and brother did take a short ride on the tube, but no one fell in.

Collin and Greg are the only two that actually got in the water.  Collin LOVES to swim, and he couldn't resist when he saw all that water.  What a great dad he has to get into that freezing water with him!  They only "swam" for a minute or two, and then spent the next 30 minutes trying to warm back up.

Then on the 12th, Collin and I went with my mom to the Utah State Fair.  We went last year and Collin enjoyed it, but this year was even more fun.  He loved checking out the animals, especially the cows.  He was a little scared of the goats.  And he didn't want to pet the baby pigs, but he sure loved those cows.  He was saying "mooo!" to all the cows.

We got to see my brother's Jazz band play and Collin danced and sang along.  Then we got some fair food: a funnel cake, caramel apple, and cotton candy.  Let's just say that both me and my mom were feeling a little sick the next day.  Ah, fair food.

We're counting the days until we go to Michigan.  We're so excited to see Greg's parents, sister's family, and brother that live there!  Only 2 and a half weeks!
