Scottsdale, the mall & swimming

We've been trying to see the sights while we can. Our first trip was to Old Town Scottsdale. So we took a Saturday afternoon and went exploring. The museum was closed, but there were tons of shops, and all their owners were so friendly! One chatted with us for at least half an hour. There were lots of opportunities for pictures! It was SUPER hot though, so we had to cut our trip short.

Another trip we made was to the Arizona Mills Mall. It is an outlet mall. And the draw for us...there's an aquarium there too! However, when we got there, the aquarium was sold out for the day. We decided to just shop around.

We forgot the stroller, so we rented one of the car-shaped, five dollar, mall ones. At least Collin was excited. Daddy dressed him up in one of the children's stores.

We even got a picture with the Ice Cream Man.

And our favorite thing to do while here in HOT, HOT, HOT Arizona?

SWIMMING!

Greg and I enjoy it, but Collin loves it! (You can't tell from the picture; he really does love it)

The adventure begins...

So we're off! We've been in Phoenix, Arizona for almost a week. Greg got an internship at a good company where we're hoping he learns lots! We took over a lease, so the rent isn't too bad. We are in a one bedroom apartment, two if you count the giant walk-in closet...which is where Collin's crib is:).

And it is HOT. I'm told it will get hotter...oh my! Good thing the apartment's AC works well, and my car has AC too. Greg's car, however, does not. And the good old "50 down" that is do-able in Utah, doesn't work so well down here! But Greg likes to sweat. Or so he says.

Collin is 6 months, half a year, nearly 17 lbs and just over 2 feet long. It's crazy how big he is getting. And so fast. The time has just flown by! By Christmas this year, my baby will be one year old! Unbelievable!

And me? I finally get to be Mom. I have found my calling! I LOVE IT!!! Yes, it's exhausting and frustrating and stinky and smelly and loud. But it's also lovely, silly, giggly, smiley, sweet, precious, uncomparable, and simply wonderful! And I adore that beautiful baby boy!
