A visit to the State Fair

Grandma took Collin and I to the State Fair on the 14th of Sept. We went that day because my brother David was playing in the jazz band competition that day. Both Grandma and I were excited to see all the animals with Collin.

And Collin was excited, too!

This crazy bird/chicken/rooster made us all laugh!

We got to feel the difference between bear furs. Collin wasn't interested.

Grandma and Collin enjoyed their time together.

Walk in the Park

The apartment we live in is right by a park! We have made multiple trips there since we moved in. These pictures are just the couple of times we remembered the camera.

Collin didn't really like or dislike the swing. But Mama and Daddy were making all the excited cooing sounds for him!

The tunnel slide was a one-time thing, and really scary with an infant in your lap.

Collin loved "walking" on the playground. He would walk across the bouncy bridge and stop at the double slide. He LOVED the double slide!

Collin loves being outside, so we decided one day just to play in the grass. Collin didn't like the grass. I guess I never thought how strange and pokey grass must feel.

He felt much more comfortable sitting in our laps than on the grass.

The park is so much fun, we enjoy the time we get to spend there.

9 months already?

Yep! Collin is nine months.

He is 29" tall and weighs 21 pounds.

He just took his first steps a couple of days ago. Two steps from the ottoman to the couch! Such a big boy! Grandma bought him a push-along toy and it's helping with walking confidence.

He has six teeth, four upper, two lower. And enjoys trying all the different foods we give him.

Actually, he gets kinda cranky if we don't share whatever we're eating with him.

Oh, and did I mention he's adorable? We love him SOOOOOO much!
