Olsen Family Christmas Party 2014

Its always fun when we can all get together, but its becoming ridiculous to get EVERYONE together.  We were missing a couple this time around, but most of us were there.  We had a delicious dinner, watched the kids do the nativity, opened presents, and had desserts!

Collin was a wiseman this year.

He only needed a little help with his line.

All the kiddos with parts (minus the solider, who stood too far to the right to be seen in a picture...)

Tate opening his present - a plush safari truck with 4 animals!

Collin's present was a hover soccer ball and Iron Man wrist guard with nerf darts.  He loves them!
Grandma and Grandpa helping out with the litttles!

More December stuff

Here's the random little things we did in December:

Collin got his face painted again!

We got to go with friends to the aquarium for one of the few days this month that we or they weren't sick!

Tate wanted to do some walking all by himself!

We got to do a scavenger hunt while there and all the kids earned a Winter Explorer button!

I got some snuggles from sick babies.

We drove around to see some Christmas lights, and found this crazy house!

Collin took this one.  We chuckled at the crazy house's neighbors display!

Collin got to go to a Grinch Party at preschool one evening (his teacher puts a couple on every year; calls them "date night" and has the kids for 4 hours!)  So we took Tate and did some Christmas shopping!  He loved all the one on one time!

Tate loved watching it snow!

Some cute stuff Collin made at preschool.  His teacher is awesome!

Greg got a gingerbread train to put together from a co worker, and Collin and I worked real hard on it!

Continuing a Price family tradition, Greg made a fort in the family room with Collin.

Zoo Lights!

We decided to brave the cold and go to Zoo Lights this year.  It was cold, but we had lots of fun!  Both the boys enjoyed it and it wore them right out!
A few animals are out to see.  The best ones are the ones who are active at night, like the bats.

But the highlight is for sure all the lights!

Collin loved the light tunnel!

They both loved walking around through the lights.

Tate didn't last in the stroller.  We got some snuggle time in by some of the heaters placed around the zoo.

Its a fun, seasonal family outing!

Collin's birthday- #2

For Collin's friend party, we had a Super Hero party!  I tried to tone it back, and not take on as much as I have in the past.  But I was still putting the last thing together when guests were arriving...

I made each guest a reversible cape.  These were a huge hit!

When the kids arrived, they picked their cape and then decorated their own super hero mask.

They loved this as well!  Their masks turned out super cute!

Then we snapped a quick picture with the everyone dressed up!

Next we played Pin the Star on Captain America's Shield.

Next we did a super hero obstacle course.  First they had to throw a bean bag to the middle of the tape spider web.

Then they had to leap over buildings!

Navigate through a villains trap!  And to finish, they had to test their balance and walk across a board.

Then we played Hot Potato, only we pretended the green ball and bean bag were Kryptonite!  The kids had fun with this one as well!

We played some super hero music and when the music stopped they had to freeze in their best super hero pose.

Then we had cupcakes and cookies!  I chuckled when three kids asked for a cupcake, but only licked the frosting off!

We played "musical" super heroes.

When the super hero they were standing on was chosen, they get to punch a hole for a prize!  I think this might have been everyone's favorite.  So all that work to put it together was worth it!  (It took me HOURS to make this!)

Finally before guests left, we opened presents!  Again, he was so spoiled.  He got such awesome gifts!  What great friends he has!

Collin's birthday - #1

When we asked Collin what he wanted to do for his birthday this year, every time he answered have a Chuck E Cheese's birthday party!  We couldn't figure out how to do that with all the friends he wanted to have come, so we decided to go with our families.  It was perfect!  He had a blast!

Waiting for family to come, watching Chuck E's show.

Opening presents

Yay! with Aunt Cassie

He was excited about a car track!

Like, really, super excited!

He was spoiled!

Then he and cousin Chase played some games!

Grandpa helped out.

Tate had a blast as well!

The next day he got his present from Nanny and Papa!  (And Mom painted his face, per his request)

More bath toys!
